WNAM MONIORING: Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has expressed regret for recognizing Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan too late.
“Yes, in 2022, I recognized Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and that Karabakh is part of it. This decision should have been made much earlier,” Pashinyan stated during a press conference.
According to the prime minister, he understood that Armenia cannot have its territorial integrity recognized without recognizing the territorial integrity of its neighbors, as they are interconnected.
“Therefore, on October 6, 2022, as the Prime Minister of Armenia, I recognized Armenia’s territorial integrity,” he stated.
