WNAM MONITORING: The Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan is finalizing the development of a universal liquid fertilizer, KAS-28, -30 and -32, for greenhouse farming. The formula contains potassium, nitrogen, ammonium nitrate and other components essential for plant growth, state media reported Thursday.

The product has already attracted interest from local vegetable growers and demand from neighboring countries prepared to purchase it in large quantities. Production is planned at the institute’s facilities with laboratory quality control.

The fertilizer is applied through a drip irrigation system, simultaneously providing water and nutrients to plant root systems. It contains vitamins, minerals, micronutrients and protective agents against pests and diseases.

The product is environmentally friendly and suitable for both greenhouse and open-field crops, including vegetables, berries and melons.
