ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): Pakistan Post marked the 78th Independence Day of Pakistan with great enthusiasm and fervor, organizing various events across the country. Flag-hoisting ceremonies were held at General Post Offices (GPOs), followed by the singing of the national anthem.
At Rawalpindi GPO, Chief Postmaster Asma Noreen hoisted the national flag, paying tribute to the heroes of Pakistan’s freedom struggle. The event was attended by officers, staff, businessmen, valued customers, and stamp enthusiasts.
A special exhibition of new and commemorative stamps issued on Independence Day was also held. In her address, Chief Postmaster Asma Noreen highlighted the significance of Independence Day, saying, “Pakistan came into existence due to the strenuous struggle and sacrifices of our ancestors, and now its survival, development, and prosperity require the same spirit.”
She added that Pakistan Post is committed to providing the best services to the people. The celebrations concluded with the cutting of a cake to commemorate the occasion.
