WNAM REPORT: A meeting of the Working Group of the Secretariat of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions was held in Astana.
This is a standing body responsible for the preparation and organization of the global interfaith summit. The meeting brought together representatives of various religious traditions.
Participants once again emphasized the importance of interfaith dialogue in strengthening trust and cohesion within societies, endorsed the main agenda of the upcoming VIII Congress, and discussed further promotion of spiritual diplomacy.
Special attention was given to the draft Final Declaration of the Congress, which should be balanced, peace-oriented, and reflect the aspiration for cooperation. The document was approved and recommended for consideration at the XXIII Session of the Secretariat and the VIII Congress.
