OGDC Collaborates with AKUH to Organise Hepatitis “C” Elimination Camps

by WNAM:

WNAM REPORT: Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) has collaborated with Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) to organise a series of Hepatitis C Elimination Camps, offering free screening and treatment across its healthcare facilities in Punjab and Sindh. The camps will provide free screening, diagnostic tests, medical consultations, and essential medicines. The initiative is part of OGDC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to provide free healthcare facilities to communities in its operational areas.

The camps will be organised at OGDC healthcare facilities in Chakwal, Attock, Gujjar Khan (Rawalpindi), and Dera Ghazi Khan districts of Punjab, as well as Hyderabad, Sanghar, and Ghotki districts of Sindh. The initial phase will run from September 23 to December 11, 2025, followed by two rounds of follow-up camps. The first follow-up will take place between September 30 and December 18, 2025, while the second round is scheduled from March 31 to June 18, 2026.

This collaboration reflects OGDC’s commitment to sustainable and inclusive healthcare. Earlier this year, the company donated three state-of-the-art Mobile Eye Operation Theatre Units to Al-Shifa Trust Hospital and organised 35 free surgical eye camps nationwide, providing cataract surgeries, consultations, and eyeglasses to thousands of patients. These initiatives reflect OGDC’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being).
