CAIRO ( WNAM MONITORING): Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has praised Pakistan for its active role in promoting peace, stability, and unity within the Muslim world. He expressed these views during a meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in Cairo.
The meeting was held at the Itihadia Presidential Palace, where both leaders reaffirmed their countries’ historic and brotherly relations. They agreed to strengthen cooperation in defence, technology, economy, and education.
President el-Sisi appreciated Pakistan’s consistent diplomatic and humanitarian contributions to the Muslim community and called for closer coordination on issues of mutual concern. He said that Pakistan’s constructive engagement helps promote solidarity among Islamic nations.
Field Marshal Munir acknowledged Egypt’s leadership role in maintaining peace and stability across the Middle East and North Africa. He said both nations share similar visions of regional cooperation and are committed to building stronger ties for the collective prosperity of their people.
The army chief emphasised that Pakistan values its relations with Egypt and looks forward to enhancing collaboration in defence and counterterrorism. He said regular exchanges and joint initiatives will help both nations strengthen their regional influence.
