WNAM REPORT: The Embassy of Kazakhstan, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the leadership Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA), organized a screening of the historical film “Kazakh Khanate: Diamond Sword,” dubbed into Urdu, at the PNCA.
The Minister of National Heritage and Culture, Mr. Jamal Shah, and the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Mr. Murtaza Solangi, attended the event as guests of honor.
The Pakistani Ministers, in their speeches, emphasized the importance of strengthening cultural ties between the two counties, with a special emphasis on the role of cinematography.
Minister Jamal Shah, a professional movie director himself, expressed keen interest in establishing collaboration for the joint production of documentaries and feature films, further enhancing cultural exchanges between Pakistan and Kazakhstan. Minister Murtaza Solangi expressed his full support for strengthening ties between the media communities of Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin highlighted the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of culture during the 12th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in Astana on December 21, 2023.
He also announced the upcoming celebration of the 30th anniversary of the opening of the diplomatic mission of Kazakhstan in Islamabad, while discussing the film’s plot and historical significance.
The screening, attended by representatives from government official, business, academic, and creative circles of Pakistan, concluded with a standing ovation from the Pakistani audience.
A photo exhibition dedicated to modern Kazakhstan received high praise, and the guests of the event highly appreciated the historical film, emphasizing the shared cultures and traditions of the two nations.
