WNAMMONITORING: Turkmenistan widely celebrated the Day of the Constitution and State Flag on Monday.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the Turkmen people on the occasion of the Day of the Constitution and State Flag.
Turkmen President noted that the Constitution, which defines the human being as the highest value of society and the state, and the State Flag, symbolizing the inviolability of independence, neutrality, unity and cohesion, are considered national sacred symbols. He added that the green color of the flag represents renewal and life, while the carpet ornaments reflect the honor of the nation, its peaceful nature and prosperity, and the olive branches symbolize commitment to humanism. He also stated that the crescent and five stars represent the unity of the people and inspire progress, and that the celestial symbols on the flag serve as an enduring sign of national cohesion.
