RIYADH ( WNAM : KSrelief is continuing to implement training programs for vulnerable groups and persons with disabilities in Gaza under its Economic Empowerment Project, in partnership with the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The programs feature professional and digital training courses in graphic design, digital marketing, translation, freelancing, virtual assistance and remote business management. Training is also being provided in men’s grooming, women’s beauty services, embroidery, sewing and handicrafts.
The initiative aims to equip beneficiaries with practical skills and knowledge to improve their prospects in the job market.
Earlier this week, KSrelief launched the project’s first phase in Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza. The launch ceremony was attended by representatives of the UN Development Programme, the UN Population Fund, and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, as well as several local and international organizations.
The first phase aims to train more than 1,000 individuals from vulnerable groups and persons with disabilities through about 130 hours of specialized training delivered across eight vocational and digital tracks. On completion, beneficiaries will receive a diploma certificate and a professional toolkit to help them enter the labor market and secure sustainable sources of income.
The project forms part of the Saudi campaign to provide relief to the Palestinian people in Gaza, reflecting the Kingdom’s broader efforts through KSrelief to support economic recovery and build the capacities of young men and women in the Strip.
Separately, a new humanitarian aid convoy provided by KSrelief arrived in Gaza carrying a shipment of tents for families affected by displacement and the destruction of homes.
The assistance was received by the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, KSrelief’s implementing partner, which will oversee distribution to the most vulnerable families living in shelters and displacement camps across the territory.
Field teams will supervise the delivery process to ensure the tents reach those most in need.
The latest initiatives come in addition to KSrelief’s food assistance program in Gaza, which continues to provide daily hot meals through its central kitchen in the territory.
According to SPA reports issued this week, the central kitchen distributed 25,000 hot meals on June 15 and another 25,000 meals on June 16 to vulnerable residents in central and southern Gaza. On June 18, the operation delivered a further 26,300 meals, bringing the total number of meals distributed over the three reported days to more than 76,000.
The food distribution program forms part of the Saudi public campaign to support the Palestinian people and reflects Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian efforts through KSrelief to alleviate suffering and address urgent needs in the Gaza Strip.
Together, the economic empowerment project, shelter assistance and food aid underscore the Kingdom’s multifaceted approach to supporting Palestinians in Gaza through both immediate humanitarian relief and longer-term recovery initiatives.
