WNAM MONITORING: The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany hosted a cultural-enlightenment evening, dedicated to the 583rd anniversary of Alisher Navoi and the 541st anniversary of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur’s birth.
At the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Germany Dilshod Akhatov informed about the activities of the great ancestor, the founder of the Uzbek literary language Alisher Navoi, and the great poet and statesman Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, ongoing activities of the careful preservation and popularization of their creative heritage. It should be noted that Uzbekistan scientists and foreign researchers are studying the works of poets.
Curator of the Museum of Ethnology of North Africa, West and Central Asia at the Berlin State Museum Dr. Melanie Krebs noted that ghazals of Navoi and Babur give her a good mood.
“Today’s event made a great impression on me. The event program was very rich, detailed, and informative. Expert presentations on the works of great Uzbek poets and thinkers, stage performances, songs, and dances contributed to the success of the literary evening. We especially enjoyed listening to the ghazals of Navoi and Babur in Uzbek. We could enjoy the beauty of Uzbek poetry thanks to such events”, Melanie Krebs said.
Navoi and Babur’s ghazals, scenes from the life of poets, and national dances performed by a creative group with the participation of literary critics, students, and artists under the leadership of Hafiza Kuchkarova gave the event a festive mood.
