TEHRAN: The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces says people’s participation in the elections shows that they stand by their ideals of the Islamic Revolution.
The chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri cast his ballot at the Elections Headquarters in Lavizan Grand Mosque in Tehran on Friday.
“The people of Iran who take part at polling stations with full insight, awareness, and understanding of the hostile intentions of the enemies,” he said, adding that they will mark a great day today.
“Our dear people should form a capable Islamic Council and Assembly of Experts for Leadership by taking part in the poll,” he said.
Saying that the future of the country will be determined today, he added, “We must choose the best and cast out ballots so that the Islamic Council and Assembly of Leadership Experts will be formed.
