(WNAM Monitoring): March in Turkmenistan becomes a real holiday of music and art. This month marks two significant events – International Women’s Day on March 8 and Novruz Bayram, which symbolizes the arrival of spring. These holidays inspire artists to perform bright concerts, festivals and creative competitions, reports Vestiabad.ru.
The concert season opened on March 1 with a grandiose joint performance by Italian pianist and composer Roberta Di Mario and Turkmen artist Aylar Saparmuradova at the National Music and Drama Theater named after Magtymguly. The concert was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Italian Embassy in Turkmenistan. On the same day, workers in the transport and communications industry were invited to a festive concert of pop artists in the “Gul Zaman” banquet hall.
A real symphonic sacrament was the performance of Tahir Atayev’s orchestra, which performed the famous Hollywood compositions of Hans Zimmer. Music lovers enjoyed the “universal” musical canvases from cult films.
On March 8, the “Watan” cinema and concert hall will host a festive concert “Living Classics” with the participation of honored artists of Turkmenistan. On March 10, the Mukams Palace will host a romantic concert-mix “All the best for women” under the direction of Rasul Klychev. International Women’s Day will not be ignored in Arkadag, where Turkmen pop stars will perform.
In honor of Novruz Bayram, grandiose musical celebrations will be held throughout the country. Large-scale events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi and the declaration of Anev as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024 will also continue. Film premieres, forums, conferences and summing up the results of creative competitions are planned.
