WNAM REPORT: The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized an International Conference on “Effective reforms – sustainable results”.

Officials of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, heads of representative offices of international organizations Marshall Cavendish Education, and Times Publishing of Singapore attended the event.

Assistant to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva noted that a radical reform of the education sector, the introduction of advanced world experience, increasing the status, authority, and professional skills of teachers and mentors, and improving the quality and content of education are considered essential conditions for the country’s development. These issues are given significant attention in the country.

During the event, issues such as advanced training of school leaders and teachers based on Singapore’s experience, exchange of experience in developing professional skills, widespread use of artificial intelligence in assessing and developing students’ knowledge and skills, and improving the knowledge of specialists in digitalization were discussed.

According to research results, Singapore is one of the leading countries in the world in investing in education and has achieved progress due to the attention paid to developing human capital.

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan has established cooperation with the Singaporean organization Marshall Cavendish Education, jointly addressing issues of improving the qualifications of school principals and teachers, improving educational programs, and introducing digital technologies.

It is planned to conduct training to improve the quality of education by strengthening interdisciplinary integration, developing the potential of school leaders and teachers based on Singapore’s experience, improving students’ acquisition of knowledge, developing their life skills, and using artificial intelligence to assess the knowledge gained.

As a logical continuation of the conference, Singaporean experts will conduct training for school principals from June 10 to 14 and for mathematics and natural science teachers from July 8 to 12.

During the training with more than 400 specialists, experts will share their experience in developing professional skills, solving problems that arise during work, and introducing participants to innovations in the sphere.

Starting in August of this year, training participants – school principals (managers) and mathematics and natural science teachers (master trainers) – will conduct training using a cascade method in regional, district, and city schools.

Cooperation with Singaporean specialists will continue in the new 2024/2025 academic year. The results of bringing the knowledge and skills obtained at the national level training to more than 500 teachers will be monitored and analyzed. If necessary, methodological assistance and consultations will be provided.

The cooperation envisages using artificial intelligence to assess student learning and the knowledge they have acquired. In the 2024/2025 academic year, this method will be used in all schools.
