WNAM MONITORING: Uzbekistan is deeply concerned about the sharp escalation of the situation in the Middle East, the Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
“We believe that further escalation could lead to an unprecedented hike in risks and threats to security in a vast region with unpredictable consequences for the entire international community,” the statement said.
The Foreign Ministry called on “the warring parties to show restraint and refrain from actions that could further exacerbate tensions.”
The statement pointed to “the need to take urgent measures to peacefully resolve the conflict in accordance with international provisions and resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.”
