The Hokim of Namangan region Shavkat Abdurazzokov and the head of the Ecofarm Global Co. of the Republic of Korea Lim Sang Hwan met to discuss two large projects planned for implementation by Korean specialists.
The first project includes the construction of a modern caravanserai, a shopping center, a restaurant, a recreation area, and a parking lot along the Namangan-Tashkent highway. Construction will be carried out in Chust district on seven hectares of the Fergana Ring Road – A-373. Foreign investors will fully finance the project, which will cost $5 million. The project is designed to provide services to 100,000 people per year and create 50 new jobs.
The second project involves constructing a modern logistics center and a railway terminal. It will be implemented on 10 hectares of the Namangan Free Economic Zone in Chust district. The project, worth $50 million, will include the construction of low-temperature warehouses and a railway terminal for passengers. The warehouses will be able to store 100,000 tons of products annually, and 100 jobs will be created.
The implementation of the projects will contribute to the development of trade and transport infrastructure in Namangan region.
