WNAM REPORT: On October 28, in Moscow, in the concert hall of the musical score and sound recordings department of the Russian State Library (RSL) in the Pashkov House, an international scientific and practical conference “Makhtumkuli and his role in world culture” was held, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the outstanding poet and thinker of the East.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the conference was held in a hybrid format and was organized within the framework of the VIII Moscow International Arts Festival “Sounds of Dutar” named after Nury Khalmamedov together with the Russian State Library.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation E. Aydogdyev donated books on literature, national wealth, and culture of Turkmenistan to the Russian State Library. In particular, several books written by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as anniversary copies of a collection of selected works by Makhtumkuli Fragi were donated, the source notes.
