WNAM REPORT: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has arrived in Astana on a two-day working visit, as reported.
The top Russian diplomat will hold talks with Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu. Apart from this, he is expected to meet with the faculty and students of Astana university.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said earlier that Lavrov’s talks in Kazakhstan will focus on preparations for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Kazakhstan.
The sides will also discuss the bilateral agenda and current international topics of mutual interest. “And, naturally, the sides will exchange views on cooperation within integration platforms, first of all, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO),” she said.
