WNAM REPORT: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has organized a solidarity walk on the occasion of Kashmir Black Day here on Monday to condemn the Indian illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir and to express unity with the Kashmiri people.
Hundreds of students and employees of the university enthusiastically participated in the walk, raising resounding slogans of “Kashmir will become Pakistan.” The walk began from the main gate of the university and concluded at the Academic Complex.
Participants carried banners and placards bearing messages in support of the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and condemning Indian atrocities. The event was organized by the Directorate of Student Advisory and Counseling Services under the special directions of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood.
Speakers at the event stated that the purpose of observing Kashmir Black Day was to send a strong message that the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
In his message, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood said that the sacrifices of the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir will not go in vain and that educational institutions across Pakistan will continue to raise their voices in support of the Kashmiri cause.
At the conclusion of the walk, participants reaffirmed their resolve to continue supporting the Kashmiri freedom struggle on every platform.
