ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik inaugurated new residential blocks built at the Katas Raj Temple, Chakwal. During this occasion, while speaking to the media, Minister Chaudhry Salik stated that we are taking further steps to promote religious tourism. It is our duty to protect the religious places of all faiths. There is no better example for the rights of minorities than the State of Madinah. Pakistan is the only country whose flag represents minorities as well. Minorities have been settled here even before the creation of Pakistan. We will work not only for the beautification of Hindu sacred sites but also for those of other religions. In India, minorities are treated unjustly, and we will raise our voice internationally against the oppression of Muslims in India. Minorities living in Pakistan are our own people. We will send a positive message to the world regarding the minority community.
In response to a question, Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik said that the costs of Hajj in Pakistan are lower compared to Bangladesh, India, and other countries. Despite the increase in the price of the Riyal, we have not allowed the Hajj package to become expensive. The roads in Katas Raj Chakwal are suffering due to two large factories, and we will make the factory owners responsible for road repairs. We will try to ensure that as many pilgrims as possible receive visas to Pakistan. We will also ask the Ministry of Foreign Affairs not to create obstacles in issuing visas to pilgrims. I assure all minorities living in Pakistan that the Government of Pakistan is committed to protecting all your rights and the complete safeguarding of your places of worship, and is fully committed to your progress and that of your religions. Every citizen living in Pakistan, regardless of color, race, language, or religion, is entirely the responsibility of the Government of Pakistan for their life, property, beliefs, and rights. Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain also visited the new residential complex at Katas Raj Temple, accompanied by Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Zulfiqar Haider and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Dr. Ataur Rehman.
