The month of December every year saddens all Pakistanis when they recollect the separation of East Pakistan thanks to the machination of India which stabbed us in the back this country which was rent asunder. Some insiders, however say that no doubt India was instrumental in the break up of this country in 1971 but had the political element in power in this country after its creation since 1947 been just in the distribution of natural resources and other assets to the then East Pakistan. Feelings of deprivation, perhaps would never have developed among the Bengalis which were exploited by India in the dismemberment of this country. What a pity that those Bengalis who had been in the vanguard of movement for creation of Pakistan in 1947 presided over its dismemberment also in 1971.
