WNAM REPORT: US President Donald Trump said he is ready to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin “any time” that is convenient for the Russian leader.
“Any time they want to,” he told reporters at the White House in response to a related question.
Earlier, as reported, citing its sources, that Trump had instructed his team to arrange a phone call with the Russian leader in the early days following the inauguration. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov, commenting on these reports, stated that preparations for a phone call between Putin and Trump were not yet underway.
Putin and Trump last spoke over the phone on July 23, 2020.
