WNAM REPORT: Azerbaijan and Pakistan will sign agreements worth billions of dollars. According to a newspaper report, Azerbaijan plans to invest $2 billion in the Pakistani economy. The relevant investment agreements will be signed during the expected visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Baku at the end of the month.
Minister of Privatization, Investment and Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, who is leading the Pakistani delegation in Baku, said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit the Central Asian countries this month, and agreements worth $2 billion will be signed with Azerbaijan for investments in Pakistan, the media report.
The newspaper notes that the main areas of investment include oil and gas exploration, development of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
On February 1, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Pakistani Minister of Privatization, Communications and Board of Investment Aleem Khan.
