WNAM REPORT: As part of the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures to prepare for the holding of the 43rd Session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand in 2025, a delegation from the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan visited Thailand.
The delegation members held an event devoted to the history and national culture of Uzbekistan at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok.
Consul-General and Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to UN ESCAP Fakhriddin Sultanov and Vice Rector of the Institute Shokhbek Ergashev addressed the event.
The event included presentations on the scientific and educational heritage of the great ancestors and an exhibition of samples of folk crafts and confectionery products. Information was also provided on the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, as well as the potential of tourism and its historical monuments.
A theatrical concert program, including national songs and dances and classical works performed by teachers and students of the institute, was also presented.
