WNAM MONITORING: Improvement of the country’s business climate is one of unconditional priorities. This is what President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at the meeting with domestic business community in Astana.
The President reminded of introduction of a moratorium on the establishment of quasi-public entities, statutory restrictions on participation of state-run enterprises in regulated procurement upon submission of bids from businesses, protection of businesses from unreasonable pressure and unlawful inspections by relevant organizations.
Since 2022, the number of criminal cases registered in entrepreneurship sector has decreased twofold.
Administrative liability for unlawful interference in business activity has been toughened. The prosecutors have prevented more than 700 facts of violation of investors’ rights.
“All of this is a huge potential for strengthening the protection of the rights and legal interests of business,” the President stated.
