ISLAMABAD ( WNAM MONITORING): A seminar titled “Khojaly Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing: A Crime against Humanity” was organized by the MUSLIM Institute in collaboration with the Embassy of Azerbaijan at the National Library in Islamabad on Thursday.
Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov and Turkish Ambassador Irfan Nezir oglu joined other speakers in reflecting on the historical tragedy while emphasizing the importance of justice and global solidarity.
The speakers emphasized that remembering the martyrs of Khojaly is not just an act of commemoration but a commitment to justice. The speakers reaffirmed the deep-rooted brotherly ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, which are founded on shared faith, mutual trust, and strong diplomatic support. Pakistan has consistently upheld Azerbaijan’s rightful stance on Karabakh, refusing to recognize Armenia to this day.
Furthermore, the seminar highlighted the unwavering solidarity of Türkiye and Pakistan, and the brotherly Muslim world, which continues to stand by the Azerbaijan in these critical times. The event concluded with a strong call to further strengthen bilateral relations, enhancing cooperation in defense, education, trade, and cultural exchange. The speakers emphasized the need for continued engagement at regional and international levels to foster peace, stability, and prosperity for both nations.
