WNAM REPORT: On March 3, Astana hosted the 9th round of Kazakhstan-Vietnam political consultations.The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Bakayev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Le Thi Thu Hang.
The parties discussed the current state and dynamics of development of relations between Astana and Hanoi, and pointed out significant potential for further expansion of partnership based on the principles of friendship and mutual trust.
The two sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues on the bilateral and international agenda, paying special attention to the schedule of major high-level events for the current year, prospects for further deepening of political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as interaction within multilateral structures.
Following the event, the parties worked out a number of joint proposals to further strengthen comprehensive mutually beneficial ties between Kazakhstan and Vietnam.
