WNAM REPORT: The Pathfinder Group, in collaboration with the Providentia Books Foundation and the Karachi Council on Foreign Relations (KCFR), successfully hosted a dynamic one day workshop on Pathfinders’ Challenge Leadership Series, Success amongst Future Leaders” at the Amaanibagh Auditorium in Angoori, Islamabad. The event brought together experts, academics, students, and industry professionals for insightful discussions on leadership, technology, and climate challenges. The workshop commenced with welcome remarks from Mr. Ikram Sehgal, Co-Chairman of the Pathfinders Group, followed by an opening brief by the workshop coordinator, Air Cdre ® Khalid Banuri. Dr. Huma Baqai, Vice Chairperson of KCFR and Rector of MiTE, delivered special remarks, emphasizing the importance of innovation and resilience in today’s rapidly evolving world.
A distinguished panel of speakers contributed to the Plenary Reflections session, sharing their expertise on critical topics. Mr. Imran Jattala spoke on the Fear of Failure, offering strategies to overcome setbacks and build resilience. Talha Tufail Bhatti addressed Climate Challenges, highlighting the leadership responsibilities required to mitigate environmental risks. AVM Asad Ikram explored Emerging Technologies, discussing future opportunities and the role of innovation in leadership. Mr. Salman Haider delved into the world of Startup Companies, shedding light on entrepreneurship and the challenges faced by new ventures. Additionally, Dr. Omar Khalid Butt, Ms. Ammara Awais, and Ms. Ameera Adil shared recorded messages on Leadership in Media, Educational Leadership, and other relevant themes, adding depth to the discussions.
The workshop also featured interactive group discussions, where students from Air University and Quaid-i-Azam University collaborated to develop leadership strategies on key topics. The groups were divided into four teams, each guided by experienced mentors. Team Red, mentored by Dr. Shukaib Arslan from Riphah University and Air Vice Marshal Asad Ikram, focused on Leaders of Character in the World of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Team Yellow, guided by Ms. Aisha Malik from Air University and Mr. Imran Jattala, explored the ‘Fear of Failure.’ Team Green, facilitated by Mr. Talha Bhatti and Ms. Ayesha Jamil from Air University, discussed Climate Change Impacts and Team Blue, mentored by Dr. Salma Malik and Dr. Shehryar Naveed from Fatima Jinnah University, addressed ‘Being an Effective Leader in the Workplace.’ After an hour of brainstorming, each group presented their key takeaways and proposed strategies, showcasing innovative solutions and practical approaches to leadership challenges.
The workshop concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Huma Baqai, Air Cdre Khalid Banuri, and Mr. Ikram Sehgal, who emphasized the need for collaborative solutions and continuous learning in addressing contemporary challenges. A certificate distribution ceremony and a group photo marked the successful conclusion of the event. This workshop provided an important platform for knowledge-sharing and skill-building, reinforcing the importance of collective efforts in fostering leadership.
