WNAM MONITORING: The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited the city of Arkadag on Thursday to review the road reconstruction projects connecting the bypass road to the city. The overhaul includes landscaping, installing new road signs, advertising banners, and lighting. The project also features sculptures dedicated to Akhal-Teke horses along the road, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.

Deryageldi Orazov, Chairman of the State Construction Committee of Arkadag, proposed naming the updated road Ahalteke atlary street. The Mejlis of Turkmenistan will review the proposal. Plans also include building bicycle and horseback riding lanes to ensure comfort for tourists and travelers.

Berdimuhamedov supported the proposal and emphasized the importance of further review by the Mejlis.

National Leader of the Turkmen people also reviewed the plans for social infrastructure buildings and road and transport facilities to be constructed in the second phase of the new city’s development. The creation of industrial complexes is a top priority for the second phase.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that both industrial and residential projects must harmoniously integrate with the natural environment, highlighting the importance of landscaping surrounding areas and preserving the city’s ecological balance.

The architect underscored the importance of meeting modern global construction standards and made several changes to the proposed designs. He emphasized that all structures should reflect the unique architectural appearance of the new city. Key requirements include completing construction to a high standard, adhering to deadlines, and using durable materials.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people also held a meeting with Rejep Bazarov, Vice President for Administrative Affairs of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, and Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice President for Medical Affairs, where they discussed activities for the 4th anniversary of the Charitable Foundation.
