ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): The Chief Executive Officer of Greenstar met with the Minister of State for Health, Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath to congratulate him on assuming office and discuss key health and population welfare initiatives.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on integrating healthcare and population welfare efforts. Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath highlighted that the country’s growing population poses a significant challenge and emphasized the need to ensure access to family planning services, especially in urban slums.
“The government and private sector must collaborate to address the rising population issue,” stated Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath. He underscored the importance of raising awareness about family planning and ensuring the availability of affordable contraceptive options.
The Greenstar CEO briefed the Minister on existing initiatives, sharing that 130 maternal and child health centers have been established in Punjab and 70 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, providing essential family planning services. Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath appreciated these efforts and stressed the need to expand such centers to other provinces.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both parties to strengthening public-private partnerships in healthcare and enhancing access to reproductive health services across Pakistan.
