WNAM REPORT: During the International Investment Forum in Turkmenistan, the Vice Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Caspian Logistics Solutions, Rifat Sultan Zada, presented the investment plans of his company “Black Caspian” to inject significant funds into various sectors of the Turkmen economy.
According to his speech, the company plans to invest up to 500 million dollars in various areas of Turkmenistan’s economy. Among the investment directions, the company is considering not only commercial projects but also social initiatives, including the development of sports infrastructure. The company is also interested in financing children’s football in Turkmenistan, which aligns with its previous experience in this field. As experts note, “Black Caspian” has already implemented a similar project – earlier this year, the company financed the opening of Spanish club Barcelona’s football academy in Azerbaijan, a ceremony attended by Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and the football club’s president Joan Laporta in Baku.
In his speech, Rifat Sultan Zada emphasized that his company intends not only to invest its own funds but also to attract financing from partners in GCC countries. He also noted that the company is ready to offer Turkmenistan assistance in increasing export volumes of Turkmen products, attracting additional transit cargo, and helping Turkmen manufacturers enter EU markets.
Among other areas of cooperation, he mentioned attracting investors from for Turkmenistan’s development projects and providing assistance in organizing round tables for Turkmen manufacturers with potential investors and partners.
The Vice Chairman also highly appreciated Turkmenistan’s international initiative for the UN’s declaration of the current year as the International Year of Peace and Trust, noting the importance of this initiative in the context of the unstable situation in the world.
