The Vatican will certainly be poorer after the passing away of Pope Francis the other day. He was not a man of this world. He was a Jesus who had taken a vow of living in poverty. When he died all he left behind was a cot on which he slept, a table and a small car. He didn’t leave behind any property or bank account.
Despite the fact that he was entitled to spend 340000 euros annually on meeting his day to day needs, he never used that money. He had no bank balance no private property, a very small car. A luxury apartment in Vatican is at the disposal of Pope for his use but he stayed in a modest house in a small village in Italy during his stint as Pope. Such people are born once in a blue and are a rare commodity in the world today. The measure of a man is what he does with power and Pope Francis provided a beacon light in this respect. He will be missed by all those who believe in the Hereafter. What a pity that the qualities which he had are sadly missing in the men of the cloth of this country.

-Despite the fact that the IAF is six times bigger in size than the PAF the fact of the matter is that our Air force is far ahead in professional excellence and functioning than the IAF. It has amply demonstrated this fact more than once in dog fights with India. We were lucky to have two very competent Air Chiefs like Air Marshal Asghar Khan and Air Marshal Nur Khan in the embryonic stage of PAF who laid foundation of PAF on solid footing the ample proof of which was provided by PAF in more than once in air skirmishes with India.
-A new political alliance is shaping up in the form of India, Israel and America. In order to counter it we had better further develop and cement our ties with Beijing, Iran and Moscow and leave nothing to chance.
