Tashkent( WNAM MONITORING ): President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the fifth International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia,” which opened in Tashkent at the Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan exhibition complex.
The total exhibition area exceeds 18,000 square meters, and over 10,000 delegates from Russia, Central Asian countries, China, India, and other states are participating in the forum.
The exhibition showcases technological solutions, modern equipment, and products from leading enterprises in various industries, including machine engineering, electrical engineering, metallurgy, chemistry, transportation, construction, and IT.
President Mirziyoyev highlighted the potential for economic partnership and opportunities for generating business ideas. He expressed confidence that the forum would be an important step in the implementation of large-scale projects, the development of long-term partnership relations, and the expansion of interregional cooperation.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held meetings with delegations from Russia and Tatarstan. A meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Denis Manturov, focused on the implementation of agreements reached following the visit of the President of Russia to Uzbekistan in 2024. Important cooperation projects and the strengthening of trade and economic relations were discussed.
In a conversation with Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, the expansion of industrial cooperation and the activation of humanitarian exchanges were discussed, along with joint projects in the oil and gas, chemical, transportation, tourism, and other sectors.
Special attention was given to cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy during a meeting with Alexey Likhachev, the CEO of the State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom,” including the application of nuclear technologies in agriculture and medicine.
The President also participated in a roundtable discussion where the heads of regions and leading companies from both countries presented specific plans for the implementation of cooperation projects.
