WNAM REPORT: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov held a meeting with the Chairman of the Iranian-Turkmen Interparliamentary Friendship Group Abdoljalal Iri, who headed the Iranian delegation that arrived on a visit to Ashgabat.
During the talks, which took place in a friendly atmosphere, the parties examined key areas of bilateral cooperation, including inter-parliamentary relations, energy, transport, trade, culture and education.
The participants of the meeting particularly emphasized the importance of interparliamentary dialogue, noting the effective work of the existing interparliamentary friendship group. The planned activities in this area were discussed.
Following the talks, the parties noted the existence of significant potential for the further development of Turkmen-Iranian relations based on the principles of good neighborliness and mutual respect.
