LAHORE ( WNAM REPORT ): Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) and the Crime Control Department, Punjab (CCD) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a framework for addressing grievances of overseas Pakistanis, including disputes, financial fraud, and misuse of authority.
Executed by Mr. Mohammad Mustafa Haider, Director General (Welfare & Services), OPF, and Mr. Abdul Hannan, PSP, SSP (Administration), CCD, the MoU aims to streamline complaint resolution through strategic coordination, ensuring transparency and efficiency to strengthen the confidence of overseas Pakistanis.
Under the agreement, OPF will facilitate complaint submission, maintain a database, provide documentation for investigations, and assign a focal person for coordination. CCD will conduct thorough investigations, pursue legal proceedings, provide regular updates to OPF, and establish dedicated facilitation desks for overseas Pakistanis across its offices. CCD will also integrate a dashboard with the Pakistan Citizen Portal (PMDU/Chief Minister Complaint Cell) for direct complaint assignment.
Both parties commit to upholding confidentiality of sensitive information and maintaining integrity and fairness in all processes. Regular coordination meetings will monitor progress and ensure timely case resolution.
