WNAM MONITORING: The National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on July 24, as reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
During the conversation, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov warmly congratulated the head of Uzbekistan on his birthday, wishing him robust health, happiness, and new successes in his state activities, as well as peace, prosperity, and well-being to the people of Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed key areas for further deepening Uzbek-Turkmen relations in the context of the agreements reached at the highest level during the April meeting in Samarkand. They emphasized the importance of strengthening good neighborliness, friendship, and strategic partnership between the two countries.
They expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics of bilateral trade, the development of cooperation between enterprises and businesses, and the intensification of cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The two leaders also exchanged views on current international and regional issues, including preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and the upcoming Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov also sent his congratulations to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of his birthday.
