WNAM MONITORING: National Pavilion Day of the Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan was held on August 5 in the Avaza National Tourist Zone as part of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3).
The event was attended by Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, and Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan. UN Secretary-General António Guterres was also present at the ceremony, according to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
The National Day activities aimed to showcase the region’s rich cultural heritage, strengthen good-neighborly relations, and expand cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The national pavilions featured exhibitions on traditions, handicrafts, and modern achievements in culture, art, and tourism. Gastronomic presentations and culinary masterclasses were of particular interest to the guests.
The event once again affirmed the region’s identity and cultural diversity, contributing to mutual understanding and promoting a positive image of Central Asia as a space of peace, stability, and prosperity.
