WNAM REPORT: OGDCL has successfully revived the Kunnar-3 well in the Kunnar Oil Field, which had remained shut since 2022. Using advanced diagnostic tools, OGDCL identified productive zones within the Lower Goru A-Sand. After carrying out a water shut-off and new perforations, the well was brought back to production. It is now producing 330 barrels of oil per day (BPD) and 2.1 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas. The revival of Kunnar-3 is part of OGDCL’s production optimization drive to enhance recovery across its assets through targeted field interventions and the application of modern technology. Several successful workovers have already been executed under its field revitalization plan. This achievement highlights OGDCL’s technical capabilities and reaffirms its commitment to maximising Pakistan’s energy resources for a sustainable future.
