WNAM REPORT: The grand opening of the Ushot tourist village took place in Bukhara region’s Jondor district. The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sardor Niyazov, Deputy Hokim of Bukhara region, Botirjon Shakhriyorov, representatives of the tourism sector, residents, and the general public.
The participants discussed ongoing reforms in the tourism sector, the economic and cultural importance of tourist villages, and measures to ensure employment for women and youth through the diversification of services in remote areas.
At the event, the responsible persons of the Tourism Committee solemnly presented the district hokim with a certificate awarding Ushot village the status of a tourist village.
An info tour of the tourist sites of Ushot was also organized for the guests. The participants got acquainted with guest houses, craft workshops, traditions of baking national bread, and other tourist opportunities of the village.
