The Global SME Summit has officially commenced in Davos, marking its place as the largest international platform dedicated to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Usman Shaukat, President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI), participated as Guest of Honor at the Welcome Networking Apéro, representing Pakistan’s business community at this prestigious gathering.
The Summit brings together global business leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and innovators to strengthen international collaboration among SMEs and emphasize their vital role as drivers of sustainable economic growth.
On the sidelines of the Summit, Shaukat held a meeting with Ms. Sadaf Khan, Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of Pakistan in Switzerland, to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral trade and investment. He also presented a memento to Mr. Roger Leitner, President of the Swiss Asian Chamber of Commerce, at the reception media wall.
Speaking on the occasion, Shaukat highlighted the importance of empowering SMEs through cross-border partnerships and innovation-driven initiatives.
