WNAM REPORT: Orzigul Qozikhonova, Chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Youth, Women, Culture and Sports, and Alisher Agzamkhujayev, Chairman of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Ties, Foreign Investments and Tourism, met with a delegation led by Kürşad Zorlu, Deputy Chairman of Türkiye’s Justice and Development Party and Head of the Party’s Department for Cooperation with Turkic-Speaking States.
The parties discussed cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, youth policy issues, and the strengthening of interparliamentary relations. It was noted that Uzbekistan’s open and pragmatic foreign policy contributes to establishing the country’s reputation on the international stage as a reliable partner, with its main directions focused on ensuring stability, strengthening good-neighborliness, and expanding cooperation.
In recent years, Uzbekistan and Türkiye have been actively cooperating in the fields of education, culture, volunteerism, and youth projects, with particular attention given to the implementation of joint initiatives.
At the meeting, detailed information was provided on the measures taken to implement state youth policy, the regulatory documents adopted in this area, the application of the “youth register”, youth support programs, the development of youth entrepreneurship, and achievements in the field of higher education.
