WNAM REPORT: On the eve of the VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, the VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions,at the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation.
The meeting reviewed the agenda of the upcoming Congress as well as the election of Ambassadors of Goodwill.
Chairman of the Senate and Head of the Congress Secretariat, Mr. Maulen Ashimbayev, emphasized that for more than 20 years the Congress has contributed to strengthening global interfaith dialogue and promoting peace and mutual respect. He noted that the VIII Congress will be dedicated to the theme “Dialogue of Religions: Synergy for the Future”, which signifies not only cooperation but also the need to intensify joint efforts.
During the session, Goodwill Ambassadors were elected and the Congress’ final document the “Astana Peace Declaration – 2025” was discussed.
