WNAM REPORT: Tashkent region’s Nurafshan hosted a business forum with the participation of entrepreneurs from Shandong province of the People’s Republic of China. Deputy Hokim of Tashkent region N. Sharipov attended the event and held talks with foreign guests.
The forum was organized to strengthen economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and China, as well as to expand trade and investment ties. It was attended by more than 80 entrepreneurs from Tashkent region and over 60 representatives of the business community of Shandong province. The forum included bilateral negotiations, presentations of investment projects, and discussions on areas of cooperation. Following the event, over 30 agreements and cooperation contracts were signed in industry, agriculture, logistics, the textile industry, construction materials production, and services. It was emphasized that the investment climate in Tashkent region, as well as favorable conditions and opportunities created in industrial zones, play a significant role in enhancing bilateral relations. According to analysts, in 2023, there were 488 enterprises with Chinese capital operating in the region. Currently, their number is approaching 1,000. The volume of investments attracted by these enterprises exceeded $3 billion.
