Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan strengthen cooperation between women’s public organizations

WNAM REPORT: During her visit to Baku, Nasiba Miradilova, Chairperson of the Association of Women and Girls of Uzbekistan, met with Shelale Hasanova, Chairperson of the Public Association for the Support of Public Relations in Azerbaijan, Honored Journalist.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the implementation of the provisions of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed in December 2024 at the Uzbekistan – Azerbaijan NGO Forum in Tashkent, and identified new areas of joint activity. Special attention was paid to the development of social and media projects aimed at promoting the sustainable development of women and girls in both countries.

The prospects of partnership in environmental protection, science, and vocational education were also discussed during the meeting. The heads of the organizations noted the importance of the practical implementation of the signed agreements and emphasized the role of NGOs in their promotion.

It should be noted that over the past period, Shelale Hasanova and Nasiba Miradilova have regularly held online consultations with NGO activists, organized discussion platforms, and exchanged views on issues of rapprochement and empowerment for women in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
