ISLAMABAD ( WNAM MONITORING): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir made it clear that Pakistan would respond swiftly to any act of aggression against its sovereignty.
In a chat with the correspondent of a national daily at the luncheon hosted for Jordan’s King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein at the President’s House, hw raised his finger towards the sky, saying: “I did not lead Pakistan to victory, Allah did.”
The army chief reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace but said that the country would respond firmly to any aggression, similar to its response during the May conflict with India. The army chief reiterated his unwavering commitment to fulfil his duties “as commanded by Allah”.
