Islamabad (WNAM Report): OGDCL’s focus on aggressive exploration strategy resulted in acquiring of exploration blocks. OGDCL participated in Government announced Bidding Rounds for new Exploration Blocks in June, 2023 and November, 2023. OGDCL won four Exploration Blocks as Operator with 100% Working Interest and two Exploration Blocks as JV partners. The financial Investment by OGDCL would be around 12 Million USD.
A signing ceremony of Petroleum Concession Agreements (PCAs) and Exploration Licences (ELs) for the Blocks was held on 24th January, 2024 at 1030 hours at SIFC
Secretariat, Prime Minister Office, Islamabad. Signing Ceremony was graced by Minister of Petroleum, Director General SIFC. The ceremony was chaired by Secretary Petroleum, DGPC, MD/CEO OGDCL and other members.
MD OGDCL signed the PCAs of Sehwan EL (Sindh), Zindan-ll EL (Punjab), Kotra East EL (Baluchistan) and Murradi EL (Sindh) with 100% Working Interest. Two non-Operated PCAs were also signed. Saruna West EL (Baluchistan) and Gambat-ll (Sindh) with OGDCL’s 30% Working Interest.
