The Aeronautical Engineers of the PAF deserve plaudits for designing and manufacturing J-17 Thunder Aircraft which has been widely acclaimed by the aviation industry of the world as a very effective air craft. It has proved its worth also in recent air battles. What is noteworthy is the fact that henceforth PAF won’t depend on the countries from which we used to buy jet fighters for their spare parts in times of need because of manufacturing of home made aircraft. Many countries might place orders for supply of this new production of PAF aeronautical engineers. American F16, no doubt is a great fighter jet but the countries which buys it have to depend on the US for its spare parts if Washington refuses to supply them for any reason that might prove suicidal for them.
POST SCRIPT
There is a ridiculous provision in the NAB ordinance under which even if charge of embezzlement of government money is proved against any person but he deposits a specified amount of the embezzled money in the government treasury he goes Scot free and escapes jail term. This provision is billed as plea bargain. Many notorious corrupt persons belonging to different sectors of public and private sectors against whom corruption charged were proved beyond reasonable doubt benefitted from it and got away with lightly when their defence councils made the trial courts invoke this provision of NAB ordinance. This provision provided an escape route to the corrupt element of the society. Such accused-friendly laws are the main cause why financial corruption doesn’t end from this country. This is in sharp contrast to what the Chinese do with the persons who are found guilty of financial corruption. They make them stand in front of a wall handcuffed before the firing squad who then shoot them in full public view and above all the price of the bullets which are fired at them is also recovered from them before gunning them down .Time was when in China too there was corruption galore which they wiped out by handing down harsh punishment to those found involved in it. Why can’t we follow suit?
