BAKU( WNAM MONITORING): Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order awarding Jamil Aliyev with the Istiglal Order.
The order reads:
“Guided by Clause 23 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby order:
To award the ‘Istiglal’ Order to Jamil Aziz oglu Aliyev for his outstanding services to the advancement of medical science and healthcare in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Jamil Aliyev is a prominent scientist and oncologist who has served as the Director of the National Center of Oncology of the Ministry of Health since 1990. Under his leadership, the center has become a leading regional hub for cancer research and treatment. The “Istiglal” Order is one of Azerbaijan’s highest state honors, typically awarded to citizens for outstanding services in the fields of national independence, statehood, and socio-economic development.
