It is famously said that for writing one ounce one has to study one ton. One of the characteristics of the countries which have progressed in educational sector in the world is that they have deep rooted library culture. They have patterned their educational system in such a manner that scholars have to search many books for finding answers to the questions raised in their exams in their educational pursuits unlike us where rote system is the order of the day. In many cities of Europe, one finds libraries galore which are thronged by a multitude of students. In the good old days our leaders too kept themselves abreast about every matter under the sun as they were prolific readers. One of our politicians Mian Mumtaz khan Daultana had a private library of his own having thousands of books on every subject in it.
