WNAM MONITORING: Sugar production in Azerbaijan reached 169,600 tonnes in January–May 2026, marking a 43.7% increase compared with the same period last year.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, production of sugar confectionery products also increased by 7.5% year-on-year to 4,056.5 tonnes.
As of June 1, inventories of finished sugar products stood at 19,900 tonnes, which is 3.4 times higher than a year earlier.
Stocks of sugar confectionery products totaled 71.4 tonnes, representing an increase of 26.3% compared with the same period in 2025.
