Islamabad ( WNAM REPORT): Opportunities to strengthen Pakistan–Romania cooperation in trade, tourism, hospitality, and investment were discussed at the Embassy of Romania in Islamabad.
Rauf Raja, CEO of Brain Designer Pakistan, met with Eduard Preda, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Romania. Both sides agreed there is untapped potential for public-private partnerships between the two countries. A key outcome was an agreement in principle to hold the Pakistan–Romania Business Expo in Bucharest. The expo would give companies and entrepreneurs from both nations a platform to build partnerships, explore investment prospects, and pursue commercial deals.
The discussion focused on positioning Romania under the theme “Explore & Invest in Romania” to attract international investors. The initiative aims to highlight Romania’s strengths across multiple sectors and encourage greater participation from Pakistani businesses.
Both sides also underlined the role of people-to-people links, tourism promotion, and institutional collaboration in deepening economic and cultural ties. The meeting ended with a commitment to maintain engagement and move from discussion to practical projects for mutual growth.
